On January 16, 2023 I was given this word, or this phrase, “falling dominoes.” I began to do research on the word “domino”, and it’s from a Latin word, that means “ lord, or master.“
The synonym for domino is: mask, visor, veil, disguise, false face.
History in the past suggests that “domino” is related to, a masquerading garment where a person would wear a loose black cloak, worn with a white mask for the upper part of the face and go to masquerade parties. If you look at the old dominoes, that people have played with; they were black with white dots. I felt there was a connection between that and the use of the masquerading cloak of a black robe and a white mask. Then I heard the word “domino effect”, which means: a cumulative effect generated when particular events triggers a chain of similar events.
In the last few days there have been individuals in the media talking about dominoes falling. So I wanted to share this with you.
